On March 20, Jiangyin National High-tech Zone in Jiangsu Province released a key innovation: after 10 years of efforts, the research and development team of Wuxi Beta Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. in the zone has overcome the technical difficulties in the preparation and labeling of key carbon -14 labeled compounds, and has integrated and applied a number of modern advanced technologies to successfully develop key scarce raw materials such as urea-14C and urea-13C for the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection, realizing the first real domestic import substitution, in order to meet the domestic new medicine, new pesticide research and development needs.

For a long time, due to the blockade of foreign technology, China has been used for pharmaceutical, clinical and environmental research.C14 and other marks, the vast majority need to be sent abroad to do, the cost is extremely expensive, long cycle, communication is not convenient, become the bottleneck of development.
According to the relevant leaders of Jiangyin High-tech Zone Management Committee, at present, Wuxi Beta has independently developed it for drug generation, clinical and environmental research.C14 and other marks have provided more than 10 successful marks of new drugs for Sichuan Kelun Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceutical, Nanjing Shenghe Pharmaceutical and other leading enterprises of pesticide research and development, which are more efficient, cheaper and more convenient to communicate than similar technical services abroad, realizing real domestic substitution and ending the history of sending them abroad for isotope marking, it can fully meet the research needs of new medicines and new pesticides in China, and its development prospects are very broad.
